Audrey Song is a 16-year-old artist, coder, and entrepreneur who fuses her passion for visual arts with technological innovation. She ideated CritMe in May 2024 after a school project gave her the opportunity to pursue an idea she had long considered: creating a platform where artists could receive real-time feedback without waiting weeks for traditional critiques. Over the next several months, Audrey designed the app’s interface in Figma, learning coding languages like Dart and Flutter to build its core functions. She overcame challenges in publishing, domain creation, and debugging through the support of her father and working as a barista to fund the hiring of a freelancer for technical assistance. By November 2024, CritMe was fully developed, offering artists a convenient way to refine their work before exhibitions. Audrey’s dedication ensures CritMe fosters creativity and collaboration, preserving the human element in an increasingly digital world.
